Why are we studying Spanish in the first place?

Hello,
Sometimes I think it is important to stop and make sure we know why we are Spanish students. Why are we learning another language anyway? I am confident that manay of you know exactly why you are learning Spanish. I am not sure that some of you really know. I am not certain that some of you understand why our school now has a two year world language requirement.

Let's talk about it here. Why do high schools all around the world teach languages?
